The Greatest Way To Market Your New Movie...

Diablo Cody (the writer of the movie Juno, which I liked) has a new movie coming out later this year called Jennifer's Body, staring every man's favorite boner-maker, Megan Fox...

...so basically it's a teen horror with Megan Fox getting naked multiple times for the viewer's enjoyment o_O
I like Megan Fox as much as the next guy, but it seems like her casting in this film is just a way to exploit her beauty as some sort of marketing tool.
Well, I'm sure if she was well aware of what the film director's do to her, and she's cool with it, then to each her own.

The Word 'Carpet' Is Slang For A Woman's Pubic Hair :P

I'm so exhausted right now. I've spent the last couple of nights moving pretty much everything in my house around to prepare for the new tile that will be installed in place of the bad carpet that started to grow mildew after the bathroom pipe disaster a couple of months ago.
I started moving the living room and kitchen stuff on Wednesday night after I came home from band practice. Mostly, I just put away all of our CD's, DVD's, and video games away and rolled away the entertainment center, the tables and such. Yesterday morning, the workers came and got started on ripping out the carpet from every area of the house that they could. When April picked me up from work yesterday, they were pretty much finished with the entire living room and half of the hallway. Today, they are working on the rest of the hallway, the kitchen, the bathroom, and finally, the source of the problem, April and mine's bedroom. Tomorrow morning the plan is to have April's mom's room done to complete the project.
The house is starting to look great. I'm really liking the new tile, but none the less, this process is very exhausting, especially given the limited space that I have to work with in the first place. Luckily, the workers doing the floor are nice guys and they are more than willing to help move stuff around when I'm not home.
The only thing that's bumming me out about it is that April and I were planning to watch Bruno tonight. I was really looking forward to that, but I guess it's one thing at a time.

A Cute Couple

Wedding-Bells-A-Ringing

April and I are 'officially' planning our long awaited wedding day now! We don't have a specific date just yet, but we were planning to have it late April or early May, Spring 2010. My grandma and grandpa are going to help us plan and get everything together as well. They are going to help us get our wedding rings, look for reception halls, pick out April's dresses, get me and my groomsmen fitted for tuxedos, etc... Speaking of groomsmen, I have my three picked out, 1. Adam 2. Bug and 3. John, my three best budz. Although I don't really have a best man, seeing as how my best friend has a vagina, but I couldn't pick a best man anyway...I'm a softy like that. April is having trouble picking out who she wants to be her brides-maids though. She got a little ticked at me because I only have three groomsmen, which in her mind means she can only have three brides-maids. I told her to pick as many girls as she wanted and not worry about 'tradition'. She seemed to like that idea :P.
So, we're still in our very early stages of planning right now. So far, the only real thing we've gotten done is we went to Barnes and Noble on Sunday and bought wedding magazines that April is going to subscribe to to help her get ideas for what she wants. The real planning won't really start until we start to go out with my grandparents to physically go looking for places and other things.
Speaking of which, April is so unbelievably excited about the wedding that she hasn't put down her wedding magazines yet and she keeps asking me if we can go out and look at reception halls and decorations and such! I try my best to calm her down and tell her that we need to wait and get our grandparent's help because they know more about this stuff than we do. That doesn't work though...she can't stop her excitement :D
Of course, everybody I know will be invited to come to the wedding. April and I are going to send out hand-made wedding invitations sometime in the future, and when we do, I'll have to get the addresses of some people. But that's fine, I'm getting married to the woman I love...the woman who brings me happiness everyday single day...and the woman who went through a lot to give me my perfect daughter Zoey! It'll be a great day when I kiss her in front of all our family and friends!

The World's Greatest Detective

2. Age: 22; 23 in August
3. Single or Taken: Pretty much married
4. Favorite Movie: Fight Club, The Dark Knight, Sin City
5. Favorite Song or Album: Album: Thursday - A City By The Light Divided
6. Favorite Band/Artist: Thursday
7. Dirty or Clean: Huh? Well, I took a shower today, so I guess I'm clean :D
8. Tattoos and/or Piercings: No tattoos yet, I used to have my ears pierced and snake-bite piercings on my lower lip, but Zoey removed the left one for me!
9. Do we know each other outside of LJ? Last time I checked, yes!
10. What's your philosophy on life? Count all of your blessings, stay happy, and surround yourself with wonderful people
11. Is the bottle half-full or half-empty? half-full!!
12. Would you keep a secret from me if you thought it was in my best interest? Batman taught me that "sometimes, the truth isn't good enough"
13. What is your favorite memory of us? Everytime we get together with your other friends...I always have a blast!
14. What is your favorite guilty pleasure? Watching Nip/Tuck.
15. Tell me one odd/interesting fact about you: I cannot grow a beard thanks to my filipin-ism
16. You can have three wishes (for yourself, so forget all the 'world peace etc' malarky) - what are they? A 'good sized' house for me and my family in a great neighborhood, finanical security for the rest of my life, and a rocket ship!! :P
17. Can we get together and make a cake? FUCK YES!! Break out the batter!! XP
18. Which country is your spiritual home? What does that mean? Like, where I feel the most at home? Uh...USA I guess. I really wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

21. What was your best/favorite subject at school? I got straight 'A's' in high school, so I suppose that all subjects are my 'best', but I was particularly fond of Chemistry class and the general idea that 'everything has an effect on everything'. I absolutely hated my Government class because Ms. Rainge is the worst fucking teacher on the planet! Fucking dumb broad just fucking gossiped all day with the slutty popular girls and at the end of the day gave us our homework out of nowhere! I basically had to teach myself the material!
22. Describe your accent: Middle-American, or 'normal' as some people would call it.
23. If you could change anything about me, would you? Why change what's not broken?
24. What do you wear to sleep? Jammies
25. Trousers or skirts? On girls? I'm a sucker for skirts!!
26. Cigarettes or alcohol? I don't smoke or drink anymore, gotta set a good example for my little one. But I had an awesome Margarita in a 32oz sippy cup at Vegas though!! Haha, it was delicious, but I realized how unsophisticated and alcoholic I looked walking around with that! :D
27. If I only had one day to live, what would we do together? (If you have no idea, just say something crazy, it'll entertain me!) My last day alive would be spent with my wife and daughter realistically...but unrealistically, I would dress up as Nightwing and gather a crew of other costumed crime-fighters to beat the shit out of jay-walkers and people who litter!! I want to die knowing that I made the world a better place!
28. Will you repost this so I can fill it out for you? I don't know how to make the 'box' thingy...but I would if I could!!

Vegas Vacation!

So now it's official!! I'm taking my family to Vegas on Monday to Wednesday for a vacation and we'll be staying at the Tropicana Hotel and Resort!! I took the whole week off from work to be with my family and catch up on the fun things that I like to do, like video games, band practice, and listening to music (especially since I downloaded about six new CD's in the past week and haven't listened to a single one yet).
While we are in Vegas, we were planning to go sight-seeing, shopping, and enjoying the sights and shows during the day. Of course though, April made it a point that we go to the Luxor Hotel and try to catch a glimpse of her man-gasm Criss Angel (who lives on the top floor of the hotel) :/ So, that means that I have to try and not be jealous and flex my muscles while I'm there! :P During the night-life, once the baby and her mom go to sleep, April and I were planning to check out some of the nightclubs and just have fun there!
I'm super excited, especially since this is my first real vacation with my family. I hope I don't end up getting a Dora the Explorer tattoo or come back married to a man-stripper or something!! :P

New Neighbors

Well, I guess it's official now...we're getting new neighbors in Becky and John's old house. My family and I haven't introduced ourselves yet, but just from the fact of how they fight and yell at each other, I don't think that we're going to get along. From the looks of it, it looks like one of Mike Fischer's employees and his family...his wife older daughter and two toddler kids.
Also, we're losing neighbors next month too. The family who lives in apartment 'A' is moving out in July, so if anybody (wink, wink) wants to move into there, they totally can!! :P

E3...So Far!!

If you didn't know, E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) started on Monday and is continuing on through Thursday. Being the huge nerd that I am, I've been following all of the coverage and press conferences like a hawk and so far, the announcements, the new games, and the upcoming releases have been truly spectacular!!
Being someone who lives in a house with all three major consoles and both portable consoles, I've been able to look at every company's announcements and get equally excited for all the games that they presented. Now, E3 is far from over. Today, the last two press conferences from Konami (the makers of Metal Gear) and Square-Enix (the makers of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts) are today, so I still expect to have my mind blown some more later today.

But so far, here are the announcements that either got me really excited or completely blew me away!
- Microsoft announced 'Project Natal', a new technology that fully recognizes your body movements, facial expressions, and your voice. The demonstration was truly remarkable and will really shape the future of gaming and entertainment in the future.
- Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear franchise, surprised everyone by making an appearance on the Microsoft stage and announcing a new Metal Gear game for the Xbox 360 called 'Metal Gear Solid: Rising' staring Raiden as the main character. This is the first Metal Gear game to appear on the Xbox 360. The president of Microsoft said "That with Metal Gear on the Xbox 360, we can finally say that our console is complete", which was an obvious jab at Sony fanboys because last year Microsoft managed to get Final Fantasy XIII on their console too.
- Assassin's Creed 2 was officially dated for November 17th, 2009
- Left 4 Dead 2 was announced and dated for November 13th, 2009! I guess I 'really' need to buy part 1 now!
- Splinter Cell: Conviction was demoed and the new gameplay really impressed me. The game will be released Holiday 2009
- Nintendo announced a lot of games including 'New Super Mario Bros. Wii' with four player co-op for Holiday 2009
- Also announced was 'Metroid: Other M' for the Wii, being developed by the team who made the Dead or Alive series and Ninja Gaiden. Also being released Holiday 2009.
- Super Mario Galaxy 2 was announced, demoed and is slated for release early 2010
- Not at the Nintendo press conference, but formally announced anyway, was a new untitled Zelda game for the Wii. No official name or date was given, just a press sheet showing adult Link and a small girl wearing a glowing pendant
- Sony announced the PSP Go (mentioned before)
- Sony also announced that they to are moving into the motion control business with the announcement of their motion controller, out early next year. Unlike the Wii's controller, Sony's controller recognizes full 3D movement and will know how far up or away or how far left or right you are standing. The demonstration really impressed me.
- Hideo Kojima also appeared on the Sony stage to announce ANOTHER Metal Gear Solid game for the PSP called 'Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker', set in the 1970's and staring Big Boss. The game was announced for 2010 and some gameplay elements were shown. It seems to borrow a lot of gameplay from Metal Gear Solid 4, which is a very, very good thing!
- LittleBigPlanet for the PSP was officially announced but no other information was given
- Capcom announced a new Resident Evil game for the PSP. Again no other information was given
- Sony gave Final Fantasy fans a release window for Final Fantasy XIII and gave it a Spring 2010 release.
- Then immediately after that, completely out of nowhere, Sony announces 'Final Fantasy XIV: Online' exclusively for PS3!! Not only that, but they announced it for a 2010 release! Never before have Final Fantasy fans gotten two main games in one year!
- Soul Calibur for the PSP was also announced and will feature Kratos from God of War as a playable character.
- God of War 3 was demoed and given a March 2010 release date.
- Modern Warfare 2 (the sequel to Call of Duty 4) was demoed and given a release date of November 10th, 2009

Whew...so many game announcements and E3 isn't even done yet!! I wonder what's going to happen today?!

Just Fly A Kite

PSP Go!

Today is the start of E3 2009 and of course it started with a big announcement. Sony officially confirmed the existence of its next PSP upgrade called the PSP Go!

It, of course, has a new sleeker, more user friendly body, bluetooth access, and (get this) no UMD drive! Which means that you have to download all of your games onto its 16GB hard drive, just like an iPhone.

I wonder if this means that Sony has acknowledged the fact that digital distribution is the future of gaming, especially portable gaming, or if they look at the iPhone and say to themselves 'why not us?'.
