A Cute Couple

Wedding-Bells-A-Ringing

April and I are 'officially' planning our long awaited wedding day now! We don't have a specific date just yet, but we were planning to have it late April or early May, Spring 2010. My grandma and grandpa are going to help us plan and get everything together as well. They are going to help us get our wedding rings, look for reception halls, pick out April's dresses, get me and my groomsmen fitted for tuxedos, etc... Speaking of groomsmen, I have my three picked out, 1. Adam 2. Bug and 3. John, my three best budz. Although I don't really have a best man, seeing as how my best friend has a vagina, but I couldn't pick a best man anyway...I'm a softy like that. April is having trouble picking out who she wants to be her brides-maids though. She got a little ticked at me because I only have three groomsmen, which in her mind means she can only have three brides-maids. I told her to pick as many girls as she wanted and not worry about 'tradition'. She seemed to like that idea :P.
So, we're still in our very early stages of planning right now. So far, the only real thing we've gotten done is we went to Barnes and Noble on Sunday and bought wedding magazines that April is going to subscribe to to help her get ideas for what she wants. The real planning won't really start until we start to go out with my grandparents to physically go looking for places and other things.
Speaking of which, April is so unbelievably excited about the wedding that she hasn't put down her wedding magazines yet and she keeps asking me if we can go out and look at reception halls and decorations and such! I try my best to calm her down and tell her that we need to wait and get our grandparent's help because they know more about this stuff than we do. That doesn't work though...she can't stop her excitement :D
Of course, everybody I know will be invited to come to the wedding. April and I are going to send out hand-made wedding invitations sometime in the future, and when we do, I'll have to get the addresses of some people. But that's fine, I'm getting married to the woman I love...the woman who brings me happiness everyday single day...and the woman who went through a lot to give me my perfect daughter Zoey! It'll be a great day when I kiss her in front of all our family and friends!

YAY =D

I thought that pink ring you got her was a wedding ring o_O;
There's actually 'two' rings that a man has to buy a woman when they get married. The first one is the 'engagement' ring, which is the pink one that I bought her. The purpose of an engagement is to, intise your lover and to show her how much she means to you. This is why the engagement rings are always so flashy and expensive.
And then a man has to buy matching wedding bands for himself and his new wife. The purpose of this is more symbolic than anything. The wedding bands are usually matching for both people and is not as flashy as the engagement ring.
A lot of women usually wear both rings together on their ring fingers following the wedding. Mostly because they like the way their engagement rings look. April hasn't been wearing hers lately because she's so afraid of ruining it...and least that's what she told me 0_0;

So, there you go Becky...you just got learned!! :P
