Before I head on out to family's annual Thanksgiving shin-dig and stuff my face with my weight in stuffing, I'd like to reflect on the things and people that have made me thankful this year.
Of course, first and foremost, this year marked the anniversary of my first year as a father!! Being a father is something that I am very proud of and it is something that have given me a lot of new perspectives and a lot of drive. Zoey is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me and I couldn't be more proud to call her my daughter.
Next, I am truly grateful for my lovely, beautiful, and supporting future wife April. Falling in love with her is something that has truly changed my life for the better and without her love and especially without her support, I wouldn't be the proud and happy person that I am today. I am thankful for everyday that I get to wake up next to her and for every time that she makes me feel special.
In addition to having the best family in the world, I am also thankful for the fact that I have the best friends that anyone could ask for! All of my friends, whether close or distant, are what give me a calming soul. Whether they play music with me and really stand behind me not matter how many times I may doubt myself or my own talents, or whether they are old friends from high school who stop by regularly and show me the true meaning of friendship, or whether they are best friends who I don't see as often because they have gone off pursuing their own dreams and destinies or whether they are new friends who are proof that there are still good people left in the world, no matter who they are, I am truly thankful to have them in my life and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world.
Every year, Thanksgiving reminds me that the things that make life great aren't tangible but rather they are people.
My life certainly has been blessed with many great people...and I love them all!!
